- The Council has embarked on the establishment of Shippers’ information centers at the various zonal offices of the Council across the nation. These information centers are designed to provide shippers access to information through the use of the Internet facilities at the centers.
- The Council publishes quarterly indicative freight rates and local shipping charges used by Customs as part of the inputs in the determination of customs duties
- The Council is in the process of establishing a national register of shippers, which would be produced annually. The register is expected to be a useful tool for both local and international businesses.
- The Council provides electronic information to shippers through the Council’s website.
