    The Nigerian Shippers’ Council, in furtherance of its statutory responsibilities took a lead role in the convocation of a colloquium on the proposed Transport Law Instrument that is sponsored by the Comité Maritime International (CMI) and United Nations Commission on Trade Law (UNCITRAL). The objective of the colloquium was to provide a platform for stakeholders and the Nigerian government to make contributions on the proposed Transport Law, which was articulated as the nation’s position and as an agenda for an African regional bloc.
